Musim Pertanyaan

     Musim pertanyaan. Sedangkan musim jawaban belum lagi tiba. Masih jauh serupa negeri di kutub paling dingin di selatan. Dengan apa kujawab sebuah tanya, kalau burung-burung pun bersembunyi dan tak bisa kuajak berbicara.

     Menceritakan musim: kau tahu apa artinya lembayung? Ingatkah kau pada wajah yang mendung? Lalu, masihkah kaki kita bisa menapak ke ketinggian dan tangan kita berpegang erat pada cadas-cadas yang menyembul di dinding tebing? Masihkah ada padang suryakencana dan lembah mandalawangi, serta hamparan edelweiss yang mengiangkan sebuah janji lagi di teluk sunyi?

     Menceritakan wajahmu: kau serupa perdu, tapi herannya, padamu aku tetap menggantung. Kau selipkan semangat di genggaman tanganku yang terkelupas ketika aku pergi. Matamu penuh air, tapi aku selalu tak punya pelangi untuk menghapusnya.

     Masih mendaki gunung dan belum bertemu kebijaksanaan pada setiap langkah kaki. Musim masih pagi, tanya terlalu banyak dan kabut menyisa pekat. Bukankah timur dan barat adalah milik Allah adanya? Maka ke mana perginya dirimu untuk berhijrah, niscaya Ia selalu sediakan untukmu tempat berteduh yang luas dan rezeki yang banyak.

     Aku masih berpegang pada cadas-cadas itu-bahkan. Ke mana lagi selain untuk mengelus hatimu dan menuju maaf-Nya. Jika tidak tersedia kursi dari kayu untukku duduk, aku akan menebas hutan dan mengumpulkan ranting, tidur bersama daun. Bahkan, jika telaga telah kering ketika aku tiba nanti, aku masih bisa menyeret kaki dan rela menjadi pengemis yang menadah sambil menangis-tidak akan malu menadah: sebab kerajaan-Nya itu masih banyak menyimpan air.
